Thank you all for sharing this. I have never used Hex Editor before but following your instructions I managed to switch the resolution to 1920x1080.

One more proof that GOG community is the best
is it possible to find some file with 1920 / 1080 resolution? Because those decisions that I read here ... after reading that, I lost faith that such a simple thing is feasible for this wonderful game

Here
i tested it and it does not run in full hd. it runs in 1024x768. it did however fix the problem with the intro not rendering and the fact that i had to minimise the game in order for it to render. at least it fixed that.

after testing it i found a critical bug in multiplayer. multiplayer crash after a while with true virtual function call.
i found another issue however: the edited executable can not be removed.

This method worked fine for me. Game runs in 1920x1080. I didn't try multiplayer though.

I posted the file to run at 1920x1080p, it's right above your post.
and it does not run in that resolution, plus that it ruins multiplayer. multiplayer crash with: true virtual function call. whatever that means.
SNEG is releasing Dragonshard on Steam in August and updating it with widescreen support. However, judging from the Steam screenshots, the new publisher/developer did not bother with a proper implementation - the UI is stretched and looks bad.
i have tested it, as it is on gog too and it runs well. though until you create an ingame profile, it is grainy, it will also choose too low settings on old hardware. i tested it in multiplayer today and it works well. though windows firewall treats the executable as a new game so, you need to set up a firewall exception again.
