Here's a list:
1) Have to keep creating a profile anytime I enter the game.
2) Resolution won't go higher than 1280 x 860 (May have that wrong)
3) Odd quirks in missions where unit movement is delad and scrolling cant be affected, also cutscenes prevent units from moving.
4) Cannot save, no matter what I type, it says "Invalid Save, musnt contain symbols" when it has none. Not even spaces, just lowercase letters.
5) Soon as I reopen the game, saves won't matter anyway. I have to make a new profile...

And here's the messed up part. The demo ran a lot better. But the odd part is that I connected it to my Steam and it had the same problems as above, and it fixed itself when I took it off... So mytheory is that the Overlay or soemthing with GOG is affecting it.

Please help? I've wanted this game since I was 10. Thanks. -Altonis

Not sure if this will help but it may be worth a go - try downloading the game again via your browser from your library page (that way bypassing Galaxy completely) and then installing the downloaded set-up file somewhere like C:\Games and see if that makes a difference. Make sure you uninstall the previous version first though and reboot before installing the browser download version. Hope this helps.

RESPONSE: Thank you so much for your help, it finally works! Well actually your trick did not work, same problems occur. But the REAL culprit to the problem was my stupid ant-virus system that thinks every single little thing is a potential threat and it doesnt allow it to run properly. Since both GOGGames and Games are both in an area that's suppose to be secured, the anti-virus software considers saves and certain graphical things to be potentially harmful. Finally I allowed the game into the system so I'm free to play and save. Thanks again for your help, would have never detected the true problem without you. LOL XD

PS: Made your post the solution just in case people have a similar issue, especially with GOG Galaxy.

the same thing here, i doesnt work with the GoG Galaxy client , even so i given it admin rights, and it even starts but then after the main menue it crashes - when i run it seperatly without the Galaxy client, it works , thats a shame i like keeping track of my playtime :) but whatever at least i can play it !

Thank you. I'm glad you've got it working in the end :)
I was also having the same problems, was caused by Bitdefender antivirus. So much time wasted. Make sure to just try adding an exception in your antivirus before uninstalling the whole game.
