it happens only on the larger maps. when i build enough buildings, the game runs out of memory and crash.

An unlikely solution, but have have you tried patching the game's exe file with a 4 Gb patch? It allows 32-bit applications to use 4 Gb virtual memory (instead of just 2).

i could try it but, i will try the new version first to see if they fixed it there.

i did not see the response before now, as i am rarely here.

after testing the latest version, i can safely say that the problem is solved. it no longer crash.
