The shops always sell the exact same rare items. For instance, the armor shop in the first town always sells the exact same rare shield for 6000 gold. The Aranna Legacy mod makes the shops sell random items but that mod causes issues I do want to deal with.

Anyone know of any mods that makes shops sell random items like in every other action RPG I have ever played?

Google seige the day . org (or something like that), maybe they have a mod there. It's been ages since I last visited and they may have changed since. It's where I got all my mods for DS1 & DS2, including an increased drop mod.
.
Thanks gog2002x.

I went through this site once before looking at all the available mods but I went through it again to see if I could find anything interesting. Nothing related to my original question in this thread but I did find a few more I want to try.

Do you or anyone else know what the base drop chance is for uniques, sets and rares? I am debating whether I should use an increased drop chance mod or not.

There are a couple of tools that work together to unpack and repack (.dsa2?) files, with the unpacked files that can be edited and have the base numbers. I think the programs arre called tankviewer and tankcreator, again it's been a while. I have the files in my Win7 game pc, so I'll check tonight and see what the exact names are.

I started using text files to keep instructions and file sources from the web, but I don't know if I did that back when I downloaded the files. I'll check that also. I'll let you know tomorrow or Sunday at the latest.
.
I am sure tank viewer is the right name, as I just downloaded it. I am googling some information now to see if I can figure out where the drop chance info is stored in the game files.

EDIT: I found this website that explains it well enough. -->
