After I installed a mod to increase Dungeon Siege 1 screen resolution to 1080p and increase draw distance the game locks up while trying to load a saved game. But it only seems to do this if I launch the game through GOG Galaxy and brings up Antimalware Service Executable. Either way I launch the Dungeon Siege exe or GOG it crashes on exiting the game. Can anyone help me out with a solution to at least one of these problems?

Sorry about not including the link to the mod, but GOG won't let me include it.

You don't need a mod for res changes in DS, or DS2. So this may be your issue.

All you need to do is:
Go to My Documents/My Games/ Dungeon Siege then right click the Dungeon Siege .ini file and open with Notepad.

In the second line in the .ini file change the resolution desired for the width. 1920

The thrid line change the the desired resolution for height 1080

Now save the .ini file before closing. When you start the game it should be in the higher resolution.

NOTE: When you start the game the game menu will still appear to be a lower resolution, it won't be until the game fully loads up will you see your new wide screen native resoluton.

This trick still supports ALT+TAB out of game.

You may get a pop up that says that the game may not support this resolution....just click OK and continue.
