DS1 crashes when run from GOG Galaxy and kills whole system, only exiting from Windows user helps. But runs stable when I launch it from DungeonSiege.exe directly. Game is playable, but no cloud saves this way. Any help?

Latest GOG Galaxy, Win10.

Update: after trying different things I discovered that disabling in-game GOG overlay helps. Without it no crashes, cloud saves work.

Confirmed for me as well - disabling the overlay fixed my system crashing issue. Thank you for tracking this down and sharing!
It also crashs if you don't have you "Documents"-Folder on C-Drive. I had mine on "D:" and the game did not want to start.
Moved it back to the c-drive and now it works.

Even after I disabled the GOG Galaxy overlay for Dungeon Siege it still exits to a black screen with sound and I have to close the game using the task manager.
