Which resolution version do you use? The website says that the ones for higher resolutions are 'unsafe'. How exactly? Do you run into any trouble with this mod?

I personally go with the 1280x720 version since I know it'll work.
"Unsafe" is there because the game doesn't officially support higher resolutions, so it'd either fill too much of the screen or make the game crash.
I'm just happy I can get the game to work with my chosen mods at all, so I have no idea how to make it work with a higher resolution.
