What did you actually do? Screenshots.

Adding MIXER CDAUDIO 0:0 to the correct file works for me, #11 & #13.

Ok.. Not sure what went wrong on the first try there but it worked this time.

I can now confirm that opening the file "dosboxDK_single.conf" and adding in the line "MIXER CDAUDIO 0:0" before the line "CLS" works.

and no CLS .
Hate the sodding music .

It's solved on Win 8. That's your problem. Search for it.

Engineers installed Windows 10 when they repaired my computer .

unable to open the dosboxDK_single.conf file , anyone got any idea ???

Despite what the thread says this issue has not been solved. I've tried everything suggested here and more and I still cant kill the music.
Just to be clear here I would like to maintain the sound effects. It's just the music I wanna mute.

Indeed, I tried what was said here (although it would help to show exactly where the MIXER CDAUDIO 0:0 should be exaclty (because add the line before CLS is to vague for someone who really doesn't know what it should be) but I tried all, so it has beed before CLS, above CLS (so MIXER CDAUDIO 0:0 -enter- CLS, everywehere in the file, but it just doesn't work
