So I keep trying fixes i found online to get DK2 to run at a reasonable framerate on my Win10 pc, but nothing is working, not even compatibility settings do a thing! How can I get this to work

I think you should be more precise about what fixes you tried.

I suggest you to follow this guide if you haven't tried it yet. Basically you have to download this file and unzip it in the game's folder: that's all.
