I'm trying to run GOG DK2 on Win 7 64. It's on a laptop with a Core i5 and Intel HD graphics.

When I try to start the game, it appears that Windows Aero is turned off, but then turns back on again and I'm dumped straight back to the desktop.

If I check the "MESSAGE.log" file in the game directory, it says:

LOG CREATED @ 13:35:26 4-04-2012

HD Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOGcom\Dungeon Keeper 2\
Cmd Line: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOGcom\Dungeon Keeper 2\DKII.EXE
Screen Mode 800*600 (16 bpp) is not available
Screen Mode 640*480 (16 bpp) is not available

Any ideas how to convince it I can run the above resolutions? Should be able to do it...?

EDIT:

OK, it appears that the above is caused by my graphics card not supporting resolutions below 1024x768. I've added the custom resolution of 1024x768, which at least allows the game to go to fullscreen mode, but I still get the line "Screen Mode 640*480 (16 bpp) is not available" in the log. The "display in 640x480" compatibility mode is unchecked. Also, I've tried disabling the intro video in case this was asking for 640x480, and tried it in windowed mode. Neither helps...
