i managed to fix the 0xc0000022 error by activating Direct Play.

Now the game starts and everything seems to work, but the graphics. I have sound and there appears to be a menu judging from the sounds, but the game is completely black.

Im running this on a Potato Netbook with an Intel Celeron N3050 and Intel HD Graphics.

Fiddeling around with compatibility modes didn't do the trick.

Any tips on what I might do about this.

You should be running DKII-DX.exe (which has GOG's fix applied), not DKII.exe (which doesn't).
