Hi,

I am wondering if there's a possibility to play DK2 in another language (Dutch in my case)
I have very fond memories of playing Dungeon Keeper 2, and especially in Dutch.

So, yea.. any idea if this is at all possible and how I would go about doing that?

Much appreciated.

EDIT: I have looked around the forum some more and found some information scattered about, which lead me to search the Google and landed me here > www.patches-scrolls.com/dungeon_keeper2.php
There, I downloaded the 1.70 Dutch patch file, but when I run the patch' .exe file, I get a patch error pop-up saying "Old File does not exist", cancelling the update/installation.
I checked my installed DK2 version and it's 1.70 (but still in English).

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Edit2: The email provided for support in a .txt file along with the patch, is apparently no longer valid

Do not ever attempt to use official game patches on GOG's releases. GOG already includes the latest official version and, in some games, their own and/or fan-made fixes. In the case of DK2, 1.70 is already used, along with some GOG-specific fixes under authorization from EA.

Also, applying a non-English official patch on an English one will most often break the game or have anomalies, if the patcher even manages to run.

On GOG, DK2 is apparently only available in English at the moment. The best you can do is file a request for the addition of non-English languages, or ask someone who has a Dutch CD version of the game and try to pin-point any files that are different for each language and upload them to you.

Curious on GOG's side, though, as DK1 has a Dutch version available.

DK2 seems to be running smoothly (just played a couple campaign missions without problems) so I think the patch I downloaded didn't take, as I had guessed.
I should have a CD copy lying around somewhere, but my laptop doesn't have a cd-tray.
I will have a look.

Thank you for your reply :)
