Can someone confirm this ?

No.
No one knows whether they'll be sold on GOG again, or not, until the right ownership/transfer is complete. I'm pretty sure GOG is working on getting them again, but right now it's too soon to either confirm or deny their reappearing in here.
They will most likely return when a deal is made with the current holders of the IP, much like Fallout was removed from the store for some time before coming back under a new publisher.

This was not a legitimate question/answer -- Gog8 has various sock-puppet accounts that he uses to give himself rep by using an alt account to post brief questions, which he then gives an even briefer answer to, and the alt account marks the main account's (that is, Gog8's) post as the solution.

Here's another example.
I was surprised to see that these games aren't available to buy on GOG right now, but in 2013 I bought Duke Nukem 1 and 2 and they're still available in my library for download, I know, because recently I reinstalled them on my computer using the Galaxy client, so technically the games are still on GOG's servers, but obviously they've blocked access to them. I have to admit that I'm not at all up with recently activity regarding the Duke Nukem IP I didn't know anything about it changing ownership or anything like that.
I've still got the Atomic Edition in my account since I bought it some time back when it was still on GOG.

But with the 20th Anniversary edition of Duke coming out October 11th, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't available on GOG. I don't know what the legal status of Atomic Edition is currently, but I'd imagine once it's worked out that it will pop back up on GOG at some point as well.

Still a bummer teh expansions won't be included; seems short-sighted for such a milked franchise... Unless they go back and add them laterz, re-milking again.
Yes.

I wonder if that will only be as part of the now released 20th Anniversary World Tour Edition. It doesn't include the expansions, yet, so I'd expect them to have those as another release or DLC to complete "their" package. I wouldn't expect them to re-release the Megaton Edition itself anytime soon.

On the one hand I want the dev commentary, and the new levels.. I really have no problem buying the 20th anniversary wold tour thing, but did they pull the old stuff seeing it as competition?

From what I gather the new version uses completely incompatible resources, and cannot be used by the old MS-DOS build engine. So really, what is the big deal?

I'm just glad I got the old "DUKE NUKEM 3D ATOMIC EDITION" version, DRM free so I can just xcopy it into DOSBox/PCem. Now to finish building a REAL MS-DOS PC...
