I still have Duke 3D and Duke Nukem 1 and 2 from before they were removed from GOG and Steam. If anyone wants them, I'll gladly put the installer's online and post a link to them.

I need to make clear that this is only because you cannot actually buy them from GOG just now; I've double checked too. When Gearbox finally get their heads on straight and re-upload them to GOG and Steam, (20th Anniversary World Tour doesn't count) only then would those in the link be taken down.

I'll even throw in Another Metroid 2 Remake as a bonus which will stay if/when Duke returns to GOG and I remove my Duke downloads. (Because fuck Nintendo)

I warn that the Atomic Edition I have does not have the expansions like Steam's Megaton edition which I missed buying; I only discovered that Megaton was taken down soon after getting enough money to buy it.

EDIT: I forgot to specify that if you do want them, you only need to ask in a reply.

That's very decent of you, but I'm pretty sure this breaks all kinds of rules and might put gog in a liable spot.

Of course, anyone who knows how to look can easily find the installers without you advertising them here.

I got the megaton edition with a greymarket steam key.

And I agree, fuck Nintendo.

Indeed. Their products can sometimes be very good, drawing parallels with Apple and Microsoft like old Macintosh games such as Bungie's Pathways into Darkness and Marathon, Windows XP and 7, the original Xbox and just recently the Switch.

But while that is the case and some employees there like Miyamoto might be good, the company itself is fucking trash.

I hear he worked on Mother 2. Alongside Chikao Ohtsuka-san who voiced Dr Eggman in the Sonic games, and Kouji Wada-san who was the main singer for some of the Digimon soundtrack, he will be missed.

If you're going to do that then I kindly ask you to do that elsewhere and not advertise putting up the GOG versions just because they are no longer sold.

I'll take your word for it. Don't know where else yet. I don't want to make GOG look bad if that's what you're saying.
I understand your disappointment with this classic not being sold on GOG right now, but as you know it's not in GOG's hands and I think it does put a not-so-favorable light on GOG that you are basically promoting piracy on these forums. Whoever wants to got that route can probably do it via Google, anyway, but that shouldn't be the spirit in this community, right?
Rather, we should all vote for the Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition to be put on GOG: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/duke_nukem_3d_megaton_edition

I know Gearbox are disliked by many, and they may be afraid of their Anniversary Edition not selling as well if they have both editions on sale at the same time. But, they could bundle both together, or there could be a discount for owners of the Megaton Edition or whatnot. I'm sure this can be resolved in some way, and showing them how much we wish for it without the pressure should work out as well :)

Well, it's more privateering (white-hat) and not blackbeard piracy (black-hat) since 1 and 2 can't be found anywhere just now and they aren't included as extras in 20th Anniversary.

The rest of your points are well made though. At least AM2R will still be up for grabs.
Privateering implies a Letter of Marque issued by a lawful authority.

This would closer to Grey Hat vigilantism or civil disobedience.

As far as AMR2 goes, it may be noteworthy that Nintendo waited until it was finished and distributed before dropping the hammer. They might have not been aware of the project before that, or It's possible they're just going through the legal crackdown motions half-heartedly with a wink and nod.

Sega did something similar with the awesome Streets of Rage Remake fan project.

Good points again. It's easier to explain the right point of view on piracy issues by viewing these videos, one of them Halloween themed. It would be difficult for me to remember all the right lines from them for simply quoting them.

Certain points toward the start and the end, but you can watch the whole thing because this game is awesome, especially at this time of year.
