I don't need the high resolution graphics or any of that stuff. My little netbook wouldn't be able to handle them anyway. I'm just talking a straight Windows port, kind of like WinROTT where it doesn't change any of the original graphics or sound.
My desktop upstairs runs the game with the high resolution pack just fine, but this netbook that I'm normally on doesn't even try to run it and through DOSBox it's too slow to be anywhere near playable.

Maybe Eduke32 is what you are looking for. Runs the game with almost no lag.
There is no 'straight Windows port', but there are Windows based engines that will run the game, such as eDuke32, amongst others. They do require some original game files to run, though.
ah eDuke32 is exactly what I was referring to. For some raeason I had it stuck in my head that the high res version was the only one. Cool.
The closest to a straight port was JFduke. Apogee/3dr never ported build to windows due to the fact that at the time it came out there was no direct x api.
