I did, and it still crashes!!
Try an older version of eDuke32. Some users have posted on here recently about how the latest version doesn't seem to work right (or at all). If I find the thread I'll add it to this post.

The fix was rolling back to an earlier version. However, someone has posted since about version 3295 which works, so there may have been a newer version to fix the problem.
All I can suggest is that you try different versions of eDuke32 to see if any of them work for you.
