What will you do now that Duke Nukem Forever's fate is being decided?
Wait for the Zombie Duke. No grave is strong enough to make Duke stop his ass-kicking and bubblegum chewing.
Let him rest because God only knows we have seen enough franchise resurrections that ended badly. I am looking at you, Fallout 3...
Ive been following since the afternoon 3DR announced it.. Thankfully the media blitz and the leaks kept it alive. On Scott's blog he has never once said hes stopped working on duke and hes constantly releasing media. Don't believe what you read all the time. There are quite a few games coming with dukes name on them.
Fun Fact: DN:Manhattan was DNF but they decided to go full FPS.
Please don't tell me im a crazy fanboi I've seen the proof in the pudding and Scott himself has stated that DNF is still being worked on.

Always bet on the Duke. ;)
Duke Nukem 3D was my all time favorite game. After all these years I still play it quite often. Not that Hrp crap but the great original. Manhattan was good, but I preferred the good old 3D over the Duke 1&2 platformer. You just can't squeeze Duke's big ego back in to 2D platformer after experiencing the Duke 3D.
As for the DNF, I think that its better that it will forever stay as a dream of a future game that will rock the world. If it is ever released, I'm afraid that it will never be better than the 3D and thus lead to a huge disappointment, and that is not something that I as a fan want to experience. To me Duke 3D is the one and only real Duke. I just don't think that its even possible to produce such a game in high resolution polygon rich modern environment. Duke is 2.5D sprite and thats it.
Edit: I don't mean that I want the project to die. I just wish it would remain as a godlike dream we all look forward to.

...3D Realms is not closing. The internal development is no longer a part of this business, though. ...Our future is fine. We have, I think at last count, 11 or 12 projects in the works. One of them is coming out next week. Another one is coming out in about six weeks. Both of those are on the iPhone. We have some major games in production still. So we're fine. That's not an issue at all. ...The Max Payne movie came out last October, so that approach did pay off for us, and there is a Duke Nukem movie in pre-production right now.

Wanted to share this with all the duke fans out there. The Duke Trilogy should still be jiving, and the movie is comming which should help boost DNF and its cause.. i still have hope.
The movie is in pre-production that means it hasn't been Green Lighted yet.
I heard a rumor that DNF Beta will be an easter egg somewhere inside Windows 7. Can anyone confirm this?
Duke Nukem Forever is in the Guinness Book of records (gamers edition) for the game with the longest "in development" period. Since 1998 its been in development and cancelled and then in development again....thats almost 12 years...so it's never going to get made but at least it made the record books.

Please God keep Uwe Boll away from this one.
