hudfreegamer: Well, I always found that I seemed to die more easily in Duke Nukem and Blood, so gotta go with Doomguy.
Screw that, I pick S.O Marcus Jones from the Marathon trilogy. A cyborg with dark dreams about a war between Matrix suits and janitors,

two whole yellow and purple energy shield levels on top of his default red health bar,

humour on par with portal at least from his "pal" Durandal,

Doom style "broken knee" platforming only designed by human beings what with low gravity, smooth running speeds and VERTICAL MOUSELOOK,

can't arsed to listen to audio logs or read scrolly text screens so he reads or even just skims or ignores emails and books on computers,

can fly in low grav using a flamethrower as a jetpack and jump wide gaps and climb high walls using staircases and ladders made from his own speeding bullets and exploding grenades.

In short, Marcus owns Flynn "Doomguy" Taggart any day and even lent his knowledge of 5D space to Duke and Calab.
I was expecting a joke.. oh well.

FlynnArrowstarr: Okay, so that's not enough to convince you? Here's my reasoning. By Duke Nukem 3D, we already know DoomGuy is dead, so only his mutilated corpse is at the bar. "That is one doomed Sapce Marine."
Well, not enough. Otherwise we can say Duke is already dead as we find its corpse in Blood...

About my opinion it is fairly obvious they entered the bar to join Serious Sam later against the mother of all ass kicking that just defeated Mental...

Sounds like the setup for a number of D&D adventures. "Your party has met in the local tavern. The three of you are famous in your own right, having stopped invasions from Hell, outer space and cults. You're awaiting the arrival of a fourth companion. You don't know much about him other than he single-handedly foiled a massive invasion of our reality through time travel and sheer guts.

"The door blasts off its hinges and you see him. It has to be him - he fits the description you'd received of Sam 'Serious' Stone. Sneakers, blue jeans, a white T-shirt with an angry looking bomb on the front, muscular build. The tavern falls silent at his arrival and the patrons glance quickly in his direction and just as quickly dart back to their business. The first dredges of excitement begin swirling in yourselves - this will truly be an epic adventure."

I would play that module. =)

Flynn
Lets think about it; Doomguy is specialized against daemons, Duke and Sam against aliens, Caleb against evil gods...

Caleb is a complete villan driven only by rage and vengeance (at least in the first game, he's _slightly_ more good in the second);
Sam is pretty much a paragon of virtue driven insane by his mistake that awoke Mental[1];
Duke is... strange, probably he is good in his strange way. He likes girls and having a good time;
Little is know about Doomguy; surely he has a strong sense of good and evil.

There indeed premises for ass-kicking action, but also to interesting inter character drama. The "module" should allow different paths depending of the leading character.
