When I try to open this door in the sewer area of the second level in Duke Nukem 3D.
It wont open when I press space or action button all other responses operate normally. Is this a glitch ?
I've added a picture to show where problem is.

You have to open it from the other side at least once before you can open/close it from that side.

ZamFear: You have to open it from the other side at least once before you can open/close it from that side.

I just found it out too, thought you could open it for either side, great game.
Now just have to install HRP. :)
