No fix from GOG after 2 years, take refund if you can and buy it on steam.

Can not get it to start either......?

Are all of you on W11? On W7 it's running fine, so maybe check the program compatibility options in Windows?

This one worked for me :


Open the Control Panel (press Win+R, type control, and hit Enter).

Go to System and Security → System → Advanced system settings.

Click on Environment Variables.

Under System variables, click New… and add:

Variable name: OPENSSL_ia32cap
Variable value: ~0x200000200000000

Confirm and restart Windows.

This modification forces OpenSSL to bypass the CPU bug and allows the game to launch properly.


I hope it helped. Just to once have a solution on GOG forums, not only problems :-)
