So lately there I encounter situations where it's difficult to clearly see what is happening in the diplomacy/relation screen.
I would suggest that when the mouse cursor is hovering above a certain race, the rest of them are grayed-out and only the selected race and their relations are seen/emphasized, everything else is in the background.

Another example of how bad it gets...
