My game does not start any longer. It crashed and now every time I start it the following error is thrown:

"Runtime Error!

Program: drakensang.exe


This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in
an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more
information."

Does anybody have an idea why this suddenly pops up? I tried re-installing the game, restarting the system, updating graphic drivers etc. but to no avail.

I think I fixed it. The culprit was Windows 10's security settings, in particular the ransomware protection (something like "supervised folder access").
