Hi,
I have a question regarding skill points. Recently, I defeated the dragon and entered the endgame phase. Currently, I’m exploring Bitterblack Isle before proceeding to finish the main game. I purchased all the skills for my vocation (fighter) a long time ago, so I have no use for the additional skill points and I am accumulating them. I also don’t want to change my vocation because I’m satisfied with the current one. The same applies to my main pawn.
However, I’ve heard that if you change your vocation and spend skill points on it, new skills will also be unlocked for your original vocation. Is this true? If so, I might consider trying it, as my fighter has been stagnant for a while. On the other hand, I’m also thinking about saving some skill points for the secret skills I may find on Bitterblack Isle, but so far, they haven’t impressed me much.
What would you suggest? Should I save my skill points for secret skills or use them for an alternative vocation?
Thanks.
Ondrej

No, not quite.
You can unlock skills and Augments for a given Vocation only by playing it and gaining ranks as it. Since you have unlocked everything for your Vocation, Fighter, there's nothing else to unlock there.

That been said, a lot of Vocations/classes share some skills with other Vocations, eg Antler Toss may be used by Fighter, Mystick Knight and Assassin; so if you didn't have all skills unlocked you'd be able to do it as other Vocation as well.
Also, as much as Augments are attached to specific classes and can be only unlocked by ranking up respective ones, they can be equipped by all once obtained.

BTW Talking about Bitterblack Isle, there are Vocation-less Augments. called Secret Augments (I believe you meant this) that you can obtain there. They are unlocked with loot not by ranking up, but still require Discipline to be bought. As for actual Bitterblack skills, there are only skill upgrades for your skills, in a form of rings, so no Discipline is required for that.

Thanks a lot. So it seems there is no reason for me to spend my points to skills and augments from different vocations, since I do not plan to change my original vocation. Therefore, I will save my points for secret augments from BBI. And yes, by "secret skills" I actually meant secret augments (sorry for the confusion).

I don't know if this matters or not, but there are some YouTube videos out there showing ways to sneak in to BBI early on. It's tricky, but very doable. I think I did this to unlock something early, but it's been too long for me to recall what though.
