Hi!
This is probably a home brewn and very specific problem I have and it is, so far, purely cosmetical. But I thought, I ask here anyway.
So, I recently got a new computer and downloaded the executables for DAO from gog.com. I can install the game fine and I can run it fine. So far. (Haven't finished the origin story yet.)
I noticed, though, that my savegames do not show the saved image on the savegame load screen. The image file, screen.dds, exists in the savegame folder and I can view it with an image viewer.
There is also not a [char name]_Story.xml file in the folder.
And I cannot view the screenshots in game, either.
I've already reinstalled the game, but nothing changed. (I did not install with gog galaxy.)
The screen.dds file from old savegames from my old computer (win7, DAO installed from DVD), won't show either on the savegame load screen. It did just fine on my old computer.
I know it seems to be just a visual bug, but one that drives me slighty crazy. Can somebody help? Or point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Edit: I just installed the game from the DVD and the issue stayed the same. So it has nothing to do with the game from gog and everything with my system setup. Hmph.
