Hello everyone,

Everytime I start the game the launcher opens and I press play and this error occurs:

I tried installing the latest version of visual studio, reinstalling the whole game, and running as admin. But It still doesnt work. Help anyone?

Edit: I Dont know why my attached file isnt showing and I cant post links to the screenshot, so the error reads:

Runtime Error!

Program: game folder\DaOriginsConfig.exe

This application has requested Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

You don't install the Visual Studio, but the Visual C++ Redistributable.

Go into your installation folder, and inside the 'redist' folder, run the 'vcredist.exe' file. After that is done, check to see if the same problem occurs.

In case it does, try running the game directly through '/bin_ship/DAOrigins.exe' file. First time normally, second time as an administrator, and third time in compatibility mode (XP SP3).

Hope that helps.

Good luck!

I installed the vcredist.exe, still the same problem occured.
But I tried starting the game through DAOrigins.exe and it worked, thanks!

It just skips the launcher and the DAconfiguration tool, just cant start it through gog. It was already marked V when I checked.
I managed to start the game. In the long run I can play without using the configuration tool at all?

yes the config tool does nothing of any real value, just tells you the game V and can do a system scan

the gog dragonage Orgins game has a folder called bin_ship and this is where you find the DAUpdater (needs net3) this tool loads any 3rd party mods and only needs to run until a mod is loaded... so you wont have it going all the time

have fun mate!
Hi everyone

I have just bought Dragon Age Origins and have downloaded it, when I try to play I get a message "The code execution cannot proceed because PhysXloader was not found. Please reinstall the game.

My laptop is running Windows 10.

Anyone got any ideas - I've not uninstalled and reinstalled yet because I am not convinced this will work but can always give it a try.

I also had this exact same issue. After searching the forums on the Internet I found a solution that works. Some people were saying to download the PhysXloader.dll from the Nvidia website. I tried that, but when I executed the installer it said I already had a newer version on my laptop. The other option was to simply do a clean boot of my laptop. And so I tried shutting it down completely and starting it back up again, and now it is working just fine. Hope this helps!

Hi all,

I, for a change, would really like to run the configuration tool, because I would like to change the language of the game.

I get the same error message as the OP

"Runtime Error!

Program: game folder\DaOriginsConfig.exe

This application has requested Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

I can run the game with the launcher, but when I click 'configure' the error appears and the config tool shuts down.

What should I do?
