I successfully installed DA:O, opened it up and checked that the DLC were all there, closed the game and tried to run the patch, but it won't run. It gives me an error message:

Unable to execute file in the temporary directory. Setup aborted.
Error 5: Access is denied.

Tried to run it from the same directory as DA, no change. Can't figure out what temp file I'm missing, if any. Is a reinstall called for?

This is typically AV/Security software interfering with the install (patch in this instance). Try temporarily disabling it.
