I just bought the trilogy bundle, and have found that in Dracula 2 it won't let me save! I access the main menu by pressing 'ESC" but it will only let me start a new game, load, or quit.
How do I fix this?

Hello shade_st_jude.

I'm sure we can figure that out.
Could you tell us in which language you're currently playing in and which part of the game you are in ?

Best regards,
Microïds Team

It hasn't saved since the very beginning. And since I can't save and I have to restart every single time I hit ESC, I haven't tried again. Playing in english.
I had the same problem, I solved it by deactivating all compatibility modes (right click on the Dracula 2 shortcut => Compatibility tab => uncheck everything and click Ok).

Hope this works for you too.
I've had the same issue as shade_st_jude and Orion_Askatu's solution worked, thanks Orion :)

What worked for me was saving the game immediately after starting a new game; no problems saving since.
I'm playing on on Win XP sp3, english and the problem first occurred with the first werewolf attack.

Sorry in advance for resurrecting such an old thread, but this definitely works! I'm running Windows 10.

This worked for me also in Windows 7.
Thank you.

This fix still works in 2024 on Windows 10
