Every time I try to start up Doom 3, it forces Galaxy to open and promptly crashes due to an error with the Galaxy engine.
The reasons I come to GOG are because of having DRM free software as well as games that boot up easily. This is neither. Is there any way to run this game without Galaxy, or even just so it boots? Someone please help.

From the game page in your game library, click "More" and then select classic installers. You'll see two files totaling 4GB. Galaxy is not included in those installer files.
Thanks. I'll give it a try. I don't mind Galaxy as long as it doesn't crash my game.

Create a new shortcut to the EXE and don't use the one that launches through Galaxy.

Gave it a shot and it did the trick. Thanks. I'll try the same technique for Quake IV.
