Hello everyone!
If you have a crappy PC like me and couldn't run the package, but still want to run this package in all its glory, here it goes...
Wait, before anything else, a few notes: Maybe someone has already taught this, or taught about running it on other source ports, in any case, it's good to clarify that DOOM Retro currently has support for ID24, which in other words means that you will receive all the effects and screens, this includes the screen between missions (the map showing the character's progress), and you will also have animated skies, as part of the changelog for version 5.6.1 says - "Animated skies defined using the ID24-compatible SKYDEFS lump are now fully supported."
Now let's go... Get your offline installer and use this to unpack it: https://github.com/dscharrer/innoextract
Unpacking is simple, just drag the installer to the innoextract ".exe" file and wait for the process to complete.
Once that's done, separate the files... See the attachment. Create a folder called WADs and put all the files (which are listed in the attachment) inside it.
Download the source port: https://www.doomretro.com/
Source code, bug reports, etc. here: https://github.com/bradharding/doomretro
I suggest creating a folder called DOOM Retro, then download the file into it. Unpack... Get the WADs folder (created previously) and put it inside the DOOM Retro folder.
Run "doomretro.exe", and in the window that opens, select a WAD of your choice... Except "extras.wad", as this is responsible for the rearranged soundtrack, and therefore, is not a game. :)
That's all! ;)
Best regards!
