Which one is the better choice, what are the differences? Thanks!
OK, I've been playing Ultimate via GZDoom, which has mouse look for instance.
But since Enhanced is on Unity: no .WAD file, thus no GZDoom.

Depends on what you want.

The Unity Port is a great out of the Box Experience that stays true to the Game.
Everything runs very good on Machines and you can download some custom Wads/Mods directly.
Controller Support is premade and local Multiplayer.

If you want more of the brutally big Cake of the World of Doom, than go take Ports as GZDoom, Eternity or Choclate Doom and for Multiplayer Zandorum or ZDaemon.

Btw. you can install them all and use the Port you currently want to play ;)
Sometimes you want fancy Stuff, sometimes as near as possible to the original Game.

The wads are still there its still the doom engine, its just using unity as a shell to add features, where they I cannot remember off hand but they are there.
Thank you all!

Thanks, it looks like, for me personally, Ultimate version via GZDoom is the better choice over Enhanced.
Others may enjoy the more "classical" Enhanced more.

I prefer running on chocolate doom with the og wads that is my port of choice, but more options for playing Doom are good be it via good old dos, a port or enhanced.
Doom enhanced is cool. But hey Doom is cool period GZ doom zdl so many ways. I just started getting into these source ports. Either way Doom has a lot of ways to go. And that is a thing I wish a lot of games would do. Older ones anyway. Release some code and watch the community take your old game to the imagination.

It has .WADs, you will find them here "%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\id Software\DOOM Classic".
For me the biggest problem of the unity port are controls. Lack of ability to strafe with alt and direction keys, takes a bit of classic Doom experience.
