Title says it all. The save/load screen only stays on screen for like half a second so I have to quickly key down to the proper save and select it a few times. It's really irritating, and if I can't turn my character left or right I can't even play the game. The only thing I could think of that'd trigger this is between the last time I played and now, I switched from Win7 to Win10. Anyone experience anything similar and can give insight and/or advice? Thanks!

Doom 1, 2 or 3? If it's Doom 1 or 2 you're talking about, which I assume you are, open the setup.exe in dosbox and change your controls. You can also use the mouse to turn left and right.

Alternatively, you can download gzdoom to utilize modern controls and resolutions, or chocolate doom if you like modern controls but want to keep things as vanilla as possible.

It was the first game, yeah. Thanks for the advice! I'm going to try gzdoom for the time being, at least until I get better with dosbox. :)

gzdoom really is wonderful, I find it hard to go back to dosbox having gotten used to its features. gzdoom is also great for playing different wads and gameplay mods, if and when you should choose to check some of that stuff out.

Have fun!
