Hey all !

Since I was not that successful in surviving at my first games, and I come farther every game, i wondered how it goes for others.

At my first game I died in the darkness quite early, day 2 or 3.
Now my best game so far was day 25, unfortunately i attacked a Beefalo by accidentally clicking at one in the herd.

How about you?

My best is 15 days so far. I was doing really well... then I died to a tentacle while trying to fish. :(

36 for me. I've been mainly focusing on adventure mode lately, though.

In adventure mode i died after 10 days. Winter struck and i did not find enough stone to get me a heat stone.

57 days

I made it to day 22 I think. It was early winter. I was probably going to starve eventually, but a tree randomly got angry at me and I died.

Yeah, that was my second death. My first was angry bees (I should have known better).

Both times, it was at night, and I had to run away while staying close to the camp fire. That just isn't going to go well. :(

It's angry at you for cutting down trees... maybe there's a way to calm it down?

That would be great if it didn't kill me in the time it takes to plant a pine cone. And it didn't seem to care about the hundreds I planted before then.

Day 3...

My longest game was about 27 days so far - I was taking the winter rather well, but my character's HP was quite low and I seem to have wandered too close to some non-struck eye plants while going for a leafy meat I let grow near my base camp...

Yeah I've survived > 400 days too. I think it's mainly because when I get a base established, I feel like I have to tend to everything. So it's "Oh, my veggies just popped! Gotta pick them up", then it's "oh my traps caught something, better check em", then "oh that meat's dried, better replace it", then "damn nightime already, better start a fire and cook something".

Does anyone actually explore much during winter? I typically limit my exploration then due to the cold/dark, so effectively just hang near one base.

So far I've hardly explored the caves because of the darkness (needing a lightsource most of the time sucks). Yes I did make a lantern after my first trip but it's still annoying.

I've played about 10 games. On the first game I survived slightly longer than one day.

My best so far is around 30, but I always find some new and wonderful way to die. In the latest game I was all set up for winter with trees, saplings and lightning rods around my base camp and then got attacked by hounds. After killing the last one with a spear, suddenly my whole crop burst into flame (why??) and I quickly burned. Respawned at the extra life thingy, but then i was half insane and my winter supplies were ash :(

This game can really be cruel sometimes...
