Won't launch out of Gog or the folder, nor as admin. Checked Steam seems others have the issue too, any fix for this? Is the game still supported?
I confirm that I can play the game from a different folder than the default one. Of note that I don't use Galaxy and I'm on Windows 7.

The game crashes when I try to use ASUS GPU Tweak III's overlay...

Are you trying to load overlays?

I used GOG Galaxy to install the game, but I tried loading the main executable; it worked.

Did you install the game using the standalone installer, or the launcher?

Hm okay this got me further into the mystery at least.

I'm getting a 'application was unable to start correctly 0xc00000018, click 'ok' to close the application.

Looks like a memory error. I tried rebooting, running it with gog galaxy off, uninstalling/reinstalling to different drives, shutting overlay and sync off, no bueno. I know Unity had a huge problem with Citrix but I fixed that and I haven't had a problem for like a year... and can't find if this's a 'unity' game or not.

running as admin, I get no error at all. running in win8 compat mode, it acts like it wants to load for a sec, but nothing pops up. virus scanner off didn't produce different results either.

Very confusing. I really don't want to uninstall/reinstall citrix again, got all my other games working. :(

update, removed citrix, still won't run. so running out of things to try.

update, removed avast, that wasn't it either.

It uses the Godot engine.

thanks yes, I found that out, and not sure if the Godot engine needs anything special to run? My wife's PC ran it just fine, mine won't. Any ideas? I uninstalled antivirus and citrix, tried running it with galaxy on and off, and with admin, and compat, totally stuck, very confused.

also tried updating direct x, and c++ visual studio, wasn't either of those either.

also tried updating my drivers, and tried shutting off overlay in adrenalin also, no go.

I encountered the same problem, where the Godot engine crashes upon startup. After trying a number of things, I was finally able to determine the problem was the lack of the Visual C Runtime v1.40 redistributables (dlls).

So I downloaded this 64-bit package from microsoft's website and installed it, then voila' Dome Keeper works!

Unfortunately I cannot post the link directly, but just search for "vc_redist.x64.exe" with google (or whatever) and look for the learn.microsoft.com link that contains "windows/latest-supported-vc-redist" in the address.

Hope this helps
sadly it wasn't the redist files, I thought it would be that too, that's generally the problem, either that or citrix is screwing it up, or antivirus, but I'm really at a loss on this one. wife's PC run's it fine. just got a new laptop so going to try that, maybe this'll be an exclusive laptop game for me something, idk.

it's got to be that it's running on a weirdass obscure engine that's conflicting with who-knows-what. this's win10 machine also so it can't be a memory thing, can it?
