This is the 5th time I've asked this exact question. And I'm sick and tired of getting told to look at the guide and only being told what is needed. So apparently I now have to ask the questions like this because people just don't get it.

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU TAKE MOONSTONE AND COMBINE IT WITH A WOODEN WEAPON LIKE A STAFF OR CLUB

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU TAKE METAL OR LEATHER SCRAPS AND COMBINE THEM WITH A CLOTH ITEM

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU TAKE VOID ESSENCE OR METAL SCRAPS AND COMBINE THEM WITH A WOODEN SHIELD

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU TAKE SCALE OR PLATE SCRAPS AND COMBINE THEM WITH LEATHER ARMOR

All the items on this list do not use the drag and drop procedure on an ANVIL, A WETSTONE, OR FURNACE for these so now for upgrading like every other item does so why didn't people provide INSTRUCTIONS FOR GETTING THESE UPGRADED

It's so hard because you refuse to listen. I'll explain the answer one last time - I just tried it as described and it absolutely works:

Go here for recipes:

http://divinity.wikia.com/wiki/Divinity:_Original_Sin_Crafting

Yes, I posted that guide again. Take a moment to get the bitching out of your system before reading further.

Ready now? Good.

The very top of the article says:

"How do I craft stuff?
There are no "crafting stations", so if the recipe doesn't require something like an anvil/forge you can just combine the components in your inventory by dragging them together.

Using your first ALL CAPS example of Moonstone and a Staff, looking down farther, into the tables, you find (well, WE find. You won't find because you're too lazy to look):
Item: Boosted Staff +Med, Dmg
Ingredients: Moonstone + Staff

So if you take those two items so clearly written in that 'recipe', and do exactly what is so clearly stated in the very first sentence of the guide, you get an enhanced staff.

In other words, and I'll keep it as simple as possible:

1. From your inventory, grab (click and hold the mouse button) a Moonstone or Staff
2. Drag that grabbed item atop the other item. If you grabbed the Staff, drag it over to the Moonstone, and vice versa.
3. Drop it (release the mouse button) onto the other item.
4. A quantity dialog appears asking how many you want to make.
5. Click the checkmark box.
6. You now have one less Moonstone and your staff does more damage.

To summarise, Drag and Drop.

The page tells you what to do, and it's how we have described it to you over and over again. Other than that, it isn't the responcibility of anyone else to give you the exact recipes just because you choose to throw an ALL CAPS temper tantrum after your fourth or fifth refusal to read the guide and read the info people have gone out of their way to provide to you - info that works for everyone else.

If you don't get it to work from these instructions, then, well, I don't know. Maybe pay someone to play the game for you.
You didn't even know that?
I knew that. The game told me how it worked.

*snicker* (Sorry, can't resist. Haven't encountered a rock-head like this in a long, long time...;) Makes me want to burst into a few stanzas of "Rock-head of Ages".)

On a more "serious" note (*gasp, choke*), even if he paid someone to play the game for him while he watched, it would still be a completely baffling experience for him and likely would cause his head to hurt rather profoundly. Probably best if he just sells his computer and software collection and tries something a little less challenging, like jump-rope, Jacks, or even a solid game of remedial shuffleboard.

FUCK YOU I'M TOO LAZY TO LOOK....That thread doesn't explain jack shit about HOW to combine any of the the items and everyone knows it, It only shows what you need. So why don't you and everyone just knock off the bullshit you bunch of little fucking jackasses.

A lot of that shit in the crafting guide is just outright wrong:

You cannot drag ANY LEATHER ITEMS into a mobile station,

Metal and leather Scraps ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BE USED TO UPGRADE cloth items

Metal Scraps ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BE USED TO UPGRADE wooden Shields

Metal and Scale Scraps ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BE USED TO UPGRADE Leather Armor

Anyone that says they did are a liar!

I tried your first example. Since it worked exactly as described, I felt no need to try any further recipes. Did you try it as described?

As asked, I will knock off my "bullshit" of posting specific, step-by-step instructions that a seven-year old could follow successfully.

And you're welcome for the assistance. This is the last, for real this time. Have a nice life, and I will suggest for the last time that if you can't get your answers here, then you are best off taking your questions to a different forum that has people who aren't cunt jackass stupid idiot liars, as you've called us time and again.

The Leather Scraps + Cloth Armor was a little tricky. I was having a tough time finding cloth armor - and, no, a robe does not count even though it is - if you think about it as you and I might in the real world (a robe is cloth, and these robes provide you some armor protection) - cloth armor.

But I played around a bit with all of the crud in my inventory and saw thread and also a needle. Hey - Needle and Thread! Combined it and that's what resulted. Oh, okay. So then I figured the natural progression was Needle And Thread + Cloth = something. That "something" is Cloth Armor. Pretty weak at 12 Armor value but you also get +1 Initiative and there are no equipping requirements such as high Strength. So it turns out cloth armor is really Cloth Armor - a specific thing and not a generic term for "any armor made of cloth".

Next, I tried Leather Scraps + Cloth Armor, and - after boosting my crafting skill to 4 with some enchanted bracers - got Custom-made Cloth Armor with 14 Armor protection. Minor boost, but better than nothing. I forgot to keep track of the change in value along the way but it's now worth 607 as it is.

So it took a few steps but the progression makes sense. The tricky part was, "Where in the world do I find Cloth Armor?" since I went without the guide. And there will likely be some recipes in the guides that aren't quite correct. Not the end of the world. Also, it looks like Needle and Thread are now a permanent asset, not consumed in the making of the Cloth Armor. Now I get to experiment to see what else it can be combined with.

So it is not an absolute that Leather Scraps can not be combined to cloth items. You may have to play around a bit to get the correct ingredients, but it definitely works. I can't speak for the other recipes mentioned since I don't have metal scraps at the moment.

Do some trial-and-error with your ingredients and equipment. Discovery of this sort is part of the game but remember that the basic mechanic is drag-and-drop: sometimes two ingredients and sometimes an ingredient plus an external (outside the inventory) item like a forge, portable kitchen, etc. And yes, it might be some weird combo, like a Hammer + Tomato. I think this is a result of only being able to do A + B at each step instead of A + B + C + D all at one time, a la Witcher potion creation.
