How to open the door in the dungeon of the teleporter stone that Elf gave you? There is a door at the west and it's closed.

It was actually ridiculous, since I wondered the same thing last time I played this game. But if somebody has the same question - the door can be opened from other side, from catacombs under the town. Basically in the first dungeon.

That door, is it in the room where one ends up if one uses the teleporter pyramid?

OK; I never tried to open it after teleporting as I was too weak at so early a time to take on so many skeltal warriors. I guess they thought a short cut was not a good idea at this point on the game.
