Is 1.005A the latest GOG version? Thanks
I still get that damn static bug, though. Although I had that problem with this game for years now. Any thought based on my specs? I believe it is multi core related, but on my old system I could do the "set affinity" trick. I can't seem to do that with this pc.

I use Runfirst - it's a small app that sets affinity to core 0

The program is pretty small so you can just copy it to your game directory and add the command to your shortcut, like this :

1.34 was the last retail version release and patch. Larian Studios patched the GOG release to 1.005A, I believe in February, because of some severe bugs (mostly caused by the addition of higher resolution support in the GOG release). Cleaned it up nicely with few bugs remaining. Look at the lower right corner of the start screen to see your current version.

I believe they raised the version on all digital download releases to the V1.005A patch but have not released the V1.005A patch for the old boxed retail versions AFAIK. . . . =)
