See topic. I downloaded the english version TWICE (oh joy) but language remains German. I´m running a Mac, so I can´t manually change the Language settings. Any help?

Great game by the way!

Just to make sure, your first language on the Mac is set to english? I'm on 1.61 or something and my game is totally english. I'll try with the latest patch in a minute.

Nur um sicher zugehen, die Hauptsprache am Mac ist englisch? Ich habe 1.61 oder so installiert, und mein Spiel ist komplett englisch. Ich probier's mit dem letzten Patch in Kürze.

Edit:

Downloaded and copied 1.81 over the old installation. Still english.

Habe 1.81 herunter geladen und über die Erstinstallation kopiert. Immer noch englisch.

In the Windows install folder there is a language.lsx file in the '..\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\Localization' folder, which can be edited in any text editor to change the language.
The installer is multilingual.

In the game folder you can change your language.

There is a small language change program.
On Mac, as it should, there's no installer, the standard is you open an image disk and drag and drop to copy the game/application where you want.

But the game is multilanguage at least it seems so for last version (.81).

The French installer version (simple drag and drop copy) installs an English version so I search the setup as quoted for Windows version few posts above.

The preference is in the file:
Divinity Original Sin.app/Contents/Resources/game/Divinity - Original Sin.app/Contents/Data/Localization/language.lsx

To access it from the finder you'll need show package contents two times, on the app you installed with copy and the app inside it (.app).

Then in the file change English to French to set the Game to French.
The problem of language setup is in a script file used in Mac version:

/Divinity Original Sin.app/Contents/Resources/script

It detects the OS language and modifies on the fly the file that sets the language lol.

I suggest remove all the crap in this script file and replace it with:
#!/bin/bash

#run game
open "game/Divinity - Original Sin.app"

Then edit yourself the language setup in:
Divinity Original Sin.app/Contents/Resources/game/Divinity - Original Sin.app/Contents/Data/Localization/language.lsx

There's many more elegant solution like a shortcut to the app in the app but this is the simpler I think.
