I'm not finding any sort of content rating for this game anywhere. In the previews it seems fairly family friendly but still I'd like to know what kind of language, violence, and sexual content this game has.

I'm still at the beginning (finished 1st town), but from what I've seen so far:

Language: no memorable cursing / usage of curse words
Sex: very few mentions of "love-making", and a cat once says to his lover "let's purr all night long", nothing else
Violence: just your usual fantasy combat

I don't know what will change later in the game *if* anything changes, I'm still at the beginning, but this is what I've seen so far :)
Views about content will vary tremendously, depending on who you ask, or who replies to your question. But one thing you may want to be aware of, is that www.pegi.info has the following to say (it's not PEGI rated, because it's not a US title):

"The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 16 years and over only.
It contains: Realistic looking violence
This game allows the player to interact with other players ONLINE"
Only violence, eh?
I remember Baldur's Gate having a setting to change the amount of that.
Does this game have such a setting?

No, it doesn't. Actually, neither did (does) Baldur's Gate have an option to change the actual amount of violence, only a persistent blood (Gore) setting.
Blood is also an important enivroment element (it can be electrified + it heals you if you have the "leech" trait), so turning it off would break certain parts of the game.

So far, I'd call this a classic "T for Teens" game. If it were shown in a US movie theater, I'd say it would probably end up with a PG-13 instead of a PG because it's got several obliquely-played things (Esmeralda is obviously not a one-man woman, drudanae and mushrooms are consumable, etc.) plus the unavoidable violence. However the art style makes the violence somewhat cartoony. I wouldn't have any problem letting my 14-year-old daughter play it. I'd hesitate for my 10-year-old, though (mostly because I might get asked to explain some of the *wink, wink* *nudge, nudge* moments).
The back of the box says it's 16+ and contains "Violence" and "Online Content".

Most of the game is pretty tame but there's some parts that are particularly dark, mostly related to very detailed ways to gruesomely kill victims. Certainly made the girlfriend cringe a couple of times, in a 'what the fuck' bad way.
Interesting, you guys are awesome, thanks!

I think I'll wait a bit, maybe look up some videos before I buy it.

My wife and I are just interested in a co-op RPG, but we want a clean one.
