Sry, do you know when the versions of steam and gog will match each other? Cause I would like to play with a friend ;)

They should match each other now my german friend! PLAY AWAY.
Here's hoping these new patches fix some of the issues I've ran into.

Oh well, time for a restart anyway.

But ask any Steam friends to disable auto-updates, since future ones will hit Steam first.

Had some difficulty applying the latest patch, with it reporting that it couldn't update my version (1.0.74). Had to reinstall the original version and previous patches before this one would work.
Is there a problem with the mac version?

Because I've downloaded the 1.0.81 version on GOG.com but when I launch my game, it says version 1.0.78.

The only problem is we got version 1.0.78 instead of 1.0.81 ;) Expecting another 9GB download soon... :D
(but we all wanted to have D:OS on day 1, not GOG... ;) )

Hmm for me its is showing 1.0.81 on the titel screen and in my download area the file reads Patch 1.0.74 to 1.0.81+ . After downloaded the file is patch_divinity_original_sin_2.6.0.13.exe .

Edit: Maybe its different for the Mac version so but for Windows it is the right patch and the right version.

I'm talking only about mac version... Windows users should get latest version 1.0.81 via installing small 7MB patch...
Windows users can no longer install the DLC. The installer only works with the first version which is no longer downloadable since the first patch has been integrated.

We have a new fixed Mac version with the proper version coming in just a few minutes. Yes, it will mean another 9GB download :/

Yeah, it's a Mac thing. The patch just means that anything above .81 will use the same patch download instead of adding new ones all the time.
I started playing when the game was released, then patched, then the newest patch (1.0.81). I have always had 'crash during save/load' issues (Windows). Recently, it became much worse and happened basically every save, so I reinstalled and re-patched and continued from my saved game. Still ended up with crashes nearly every save.

Started a new game, and still have the same issue. It looks like the 1.0.81 patch did not address all the save game crash issues.

Edit: I emailed the appropriate files (there's a D:OS official support/analysis tool) to Larian's support team. Hopefully it's just a matter of time.

Edit edit: Eta fix date for save/load issues is August 4th 2014 (1 weeks from Monday), that's when most of the team comes back from vacation. This is according to official source on Larian's forums.

Hi there,
I'm having an issue updating the game - Windows 8. The large patch 1:0:57 (335mb) to be more specific. The smaller one works fine, but when I try and install the larger patch I get an error message.
"Game installation not found, please reinstall"
I have tried copying and running the patch in the actual directory that the game was installed in - C:divinity original sin directory.
I then reinstalled the game in the C:x86 directory and tried to run the patch from there. No joy I keep getting the error message. I even re downloaded the patch - still nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I'm missing?

Thanks

I'm currently under linux and therefore can't look up my own game files, but is there any patchnote-file containing the current version?
As you can see in your shelf, the installation files are already patched to 1.0.74 and therefore the patch from 1.0.57+ isn't needed anymore if you used said installation files.

Edit: I should finish my reply before posting...

So, if the smaller patch up to version 1.0.81 worked for you I gues your current game-version would be 1.0.81. The patch probably only scans for a specific game version and if it cannot find said version, it assumes there is no game installed.
