I used to play this game way back in the day and I remember it was capped at 30 fps. Does the gog version run at a higher framerate?

The original Dragon Knight Saga release was capped at 30, since it fixed a performance issues some systems had in the original release. A patch removed the cap and added it as an option (with an FPS slider), and that remains the case in the Developer's Cut.
