How do you heal your HP/MP without paying ridiculous fees? Im playing mage on hard mode and NPCs charge me 150g for my HP alone. Potions are 60g each.

Am I really expected to burn all my loot on regen potions?

You can always find a bed and sleep to regain health and mana. And some food also restores health. Bread and meat I think, but you can eat only so much, then you'll have to wait. Other than that, there is a highlevel skill that lets you regenerate over time. And I believe after you rescued him, Mardaneus in Aleroth will heal you for free. Or you can learn alchemie and make your own potions.

In addition, you can make a carry-on bed out of straw and there is a portable bed located in one place.
