I spoke to Alix, the healers (save Mardaneous) are no longer in Aleroth, but I can't find them in the Dwarven Bread Inn. I looked it up online and this is the only way to get the lizard teleportation scroll.

Am I missing a step or is the quest bugged?

The healers (Joram, Lanilor, Otho, and Goemoe) can be found at the Blue Boar Inn ( # 3) after you've completed the quest to send an escort to Aleroth. At that point you should be able to ask Goemoe for the lizard activation scroll.

Edit: If you are at the Dwarven Bread Inn, you are at location #38, go west to #3.

...And I just made the same exact mistake (forgetting about the Blue Boor Inn and mixing it up with the Dwarven Bread Inn) when looking for Goemoe. I might have given up entirely, but on a hunch, came back to the GOG forums to see if anyone had had the same problem.

I was able to get the lizard scroll from Goemoe before I reported to Alix!
I visited him in Aleroth looking for empty flasks before talking to Alix and the option was in his dialogue. But I cannot remember exacly what I had done up to that; except I was in the farmlands and environs.

Healing the two soldiers seems to be Goemoe's focus so doing that may add the dialog for getting the scroll.
