I found a guide that lets you change your unassigned skill points (link) however I don't want to simply increase my stats, I want to change them. I'm getting bored, and wish to play a mage (as oppose to an archer), but I don't want to start a new game.

[edit] That link was for editing Beyond Divinity. oops. In any case, I still would like to respect my STATS as well as skills.

You could probably manage just with a change of equipment and/or enchantments, and possibly a few charms to hold you over until you go up a couple levels and can start readjusting your stat point distribution. Extra levels in Mana Efficiency and a few potions would help compensate for a lower Intelligence and Spirit, etc.

However, if you load your save in the Developer Mode version of the game, you can modify your stats directly (so presumably it would work to lower a stat). Open the Developer Mode window (F11) and in the text box use the setstat command (type "setstat Strength 50", for example, and hit Enter).

Yep, that works. Is there a list of console commands somewhere, because that was the first thing I looked for (hex editing is annoying).

[edit] By the way, that isn't working for spirit ("setstat Spirit 10").

[edit2] Instead, I found how to give myself a stat book (though that won't let me lower it at a later time, its good for now).

There is a list of the 'Toggle Debug Keys' functions, but I don't know if anyone has compiled any console commands.

If anyone else is interested in stat (or skill) books, the following are listed not quite half way down the 'give' list, after a long section of equipment, and before a bunch of formula.

IT_Books_StatBook
IT_Books_SkillBook
IT_Books_DragonSkillBook
And what about changing your Spirit?
I'll check on that. I don't know why Spirit would be deliberately excluded (the other stats all work), so maybe a different name (or spelling) is used internally, or something.

nstgc: And what about changing your Spirit?
You need to use 'Stamina'. That was the original name, and as they refined the stat system apparently it was easier / safer to leave it unchanged internally.
Well, it certainly seems a good idea to leave things alone, when they don't need to be changed instead of trying for a global find and replace (I've done that before, and its a debugging nightmare).

Well, thank you so very much.
