Hi, I've been playing Divinity: Original Sin 1 over the past 2-3 months (it seems quite long and I'm chipping through it). I'm really enjoying the game, but one observation is that scoundrel and witchcraft skill books seem to be very hard to come by. As far as I can see, there appears to be no-one in either Cyseal or Silverglen who sells them. I just freed Icara (the White Which) and had hoped (being a witch) she might sell me some witchcraft spells, but no luck there either. I'm starting to somewhat regret putting points in those skills.

So, my question: is it intentional that these skill books are harder to come by than the others, or am I just missing something? If it is intended, then why? Are those skills deemed to be more powerful than the others?

I would prefer not to hear specific spoilers, so if I have missed something, I would appreciate some very general hints, such as "no, there are some people in the towns that sell those books, if you look a bit harder."

There are indeed witchcraft/scoundrel vendors in Cyseal and Silverglen, near the most populated areas, but a little out of the way.

Ok, I will look a bit harder then and see if I can find them. Thanks for your reply! :-)

Ah ... I found the one in Cyseal. Nice, that's a big help!
In Cyseal in the Tavern The King Crab Inn upper floor
In Silverglenn in the Tavern Pickaxe Tavern the old women search a bit she is at the end of the floor
Possible Elemental in the Homestead Hall

Witchcraft books you can craft ....
