Hi! Good day.

I was wondering if the GOG version of the enchanced edition of OS comes with, well...The original version of the game, since I don't believe my computer meets the specs required to run EE, even tho it does meet the requirements of the original version, mainly the whole "DX11 compatible GPU".

And second of all, I was wondering how the online multiplayer in the EE works, I imagine on Steam it uses Steam servers? But how do you connect to other people online in GOG? The store page specifies that in Mac and Linux it's only trough LAN or DirectIP but i'm on Windows.

Thanks in advance :)

Yes, but not automatically. There is a link in the library entry for the EE where you can contact GOG support to request D:OS Classic also be added to your library.

The Windows version (due to Galaxy support) can use an online lobby list or friend invites for multiplayer (with other GOG Windows players), in addition to LAN or Direct Connection (for Steam, or the GOG OSX and Linux versions).

Thanks for answering! I wasn't expecting a developer to take notice of my question :P.

If you don't mind, I wasn't sure if I should ask this, because it seems a bit rude from my part, hope you don't take it the wrong way, but I supposse it is impossible to play online with a friend using the same copy of the game, right? You would need a second copy in order to play with someone else over the internet?

I imagine the answer is yes, but I guess I shouldn't stay with the doubt.

Yes, both systems would need a copy of the game.

Figured :P Guess I'll see to get the collectors edition then, which I believe comes with an extra copy, right? :) Thanks for answering, sorry if that last question was a bit rude.

Yes, the EE CE contains 2 copies of the game.

No; there have been games that allowed installing a second copy for LAN play. It's pretty rare AFAIK, but it doesn't hurt to check.

I have just one more question, that popped into my head right now, I promise it's the last thing I want to know: Does the original version of OS have GOG achivements and or Galaxy support of any kind?

This thread started as 2 questions and now it's tripled that, i'm sorry about that.

No. Galaxy was not ready when D:OS Classic was actively being updated. Even for the Enhanced Edition, support was only added just after the last game update.

My job is primarily answering forum posts and support email.
