I retried the quest twice and both times.. I warp inside and talk to queen bee and wasp I side with the bees hordes of wasps attack. The first time me and my minions slay everything the queen bee comes over and says that I barely killed anything take the key and leave their world... right after the game glitches acts like another cutscene may start but never does and I can't move. So I reload and do it again

This time I don't summon my minions but 1 or 2 times to act as decoys I kill every wasp and that mage psuedo wasp.. the queen bee comes again this time she says many BEEs have died at my hands and here's the key and begone... quest failed again 0_o..

I am up by the door to the building and some death looking thing summons an Avenger and right after killing it I get one of my frequent game crashes... (Below) and now have to redo this thing for a 3rd time.

The game just periodically crashes now. Didn't do it early game but it started up the other day now where every so often the game will just suddenly close with the error message simply that Divine Divinity has stopped working.. When I boot it back up it always wants to reset configuration. Which sometimes i do sometimes I don't . I'm running it in Windows 98 compat mode as the game has an annoying sound bug if I don't (windows 98 automatically sets the game to use one core)
I didn't have any problems with the cutscene conversations or with the bee queen or mage wasp flying in or out, but went though that area half a dozen times in my first game. I killed too many bees the first time though (warrior's spin attack), then I went though again and still accidentally killed a couple, so had to redo it for the queen to be pleased, then went though siding with the wasps, and after discovering the level-up jug, I reloaded and left that area until I was a higher level and could get more of an experience boost (though by then I didn't really need the extra level).

I rarely bother to reset the configuration after a crash (especially if I had been hex editing something, etc), unless it crashes again on startup, or something. Recently a power surge reset my computer (apparently I need a new UPS) while DD was loading, and after rebooting Windows decided to 'fix' the files in the dynamic folder (which could have been fixed by resetting the configuration) as well as a few files in the startup folder (so I had to re-install the game).

With the disk version in my first game, I had some random crashes in the council hall (possibly related to the lighting there, since it didn't happen in the starting section with the regular lighting), but a little while after I cleared the area the crashes stopped.

Question about the quest involving Corrina.. I went around gathering the stuff and freed Penumbra when I went back to her shack, Penumbra was there talked to her got her dagger and she left after giving me the book, but Corinna is no where to be found in her home, she is not inside her shack or around it, I keep going back after doing stuff to see if she comes back but nothing. I tried to get into that hatch in her place but even with max lock picking I fail to pick it.

So I still have all the stuff. Is she supposed to be missing? (I hope so)
When you give Corinna the stuff for the quest she unlocks the hatch and goes downstairs, but other than that she should stay upstairs in her house.

Are the any green crosses on the mini-map? There are a couple NPCs (like Janus or the dwarven council member) who can hide beside walls and may not show up until you get close to them. See if she shows up if you walk around the house close to the walls (the first time I visited Janus in his room he didn't seem to be there, so I clicked on the chest to open it, and as I got close he became visible, apparently stepping away from the wall, so I had to quickly click on the ground so he couldn't catch me stealing).

If that doesn't help, it is possible to teleport her back to where she should be: Reviving dead NPCs.

Nope no unaccounted for green cross and walking around the house several times turns up nothing. Only green cross on my mini map is my bugged out Resurrected Bounty Hunter Leader. He follows me around but doesn't attack or get attacked and no matter how many people I resurrect or command he still follows me. So he is my haunting spook.

I was going to put a point into banish next level and see if I can get rid of him that way, not sure if thats how the spell works though. Or if it will even work on a bugged summon.
Corinna is now alive, though I'm not sure how she died (even if she took a lot of damage summoning the first demon you saved her from, there aren't any hostile creatures wandering around Verdistis outside of certain quests).

Banish doesn't work on your bugged Bandit Leader follower (it should get rid of creatures that you have used Aura of Command on). The character data for most NPCs lists their name and a number (ie Bandit Leader420) followed by the name again. Somehow the first name and number were replaced by Hero0 (ie your character), indicating he was a party member, and some other info was changed, but his alignment, etc, wasn't. I replaced that 1KB section of the data file from one of my saves where he was dead, so he will no longer be following you around.

Wow thank you very much. Extra thank you for that bandit ghost. He was annoying.

Yeah I'm not sure. That Penumbra is a bit shady.. perhaps she sought to sabotage my game play by murdering her?
I will add this about the bees / wasps.

First time through I used my sword and got the same result . . please leave . . you killed too many of us.

My second play through I used the lightening spell as a ranged weapon, moving forward slowly and targeting only wasps with no bees in the line of fire. Took a little longer but was successful. I used my sword once or twice when needed but the ranged lightening was very effective and what I would suggest a the best weapon for this area / task.

Edit: I have a fairly good video card but still got a few stutters when lots of wasps were on screen. I would assume a lesser card might have crashed with all the screen activity.
