I actually quite like Divinity 2, but I can`t understand some of the Devs strange dialogue game decisions. For instance, when your character talks to someone it`s from a strange 3rd person, "You ask them what they think." Instead of the more intuitive 1st person, "What do you think?"

It`s really weird because half the time I have to re-read a sentence to be sure it`s the choice I want to say. What`s wrong with the 1st person Baldur`s gate style which EVERYONE understood? It gets straight to the point. Strange, strange writing.

It`s actually unimmersive.

Also, on a similar note: having someone voice the Narration was stupid. It`s ok to say start a New Chapter or game start, but throughout the whole thing is dumb. It mixes up the verbal talk of NPCs with the Narrator. I don`t mind a little reading. i`m sure others don`t mind either. I know it can be muted, but it was a waste of good voice-acting that could`ve been used better elsewhere in the game.

Good thing you added a silence mode or that would`ve ruined the game.

Well that game have some heavy flaws in approach to writing, plotholes, immersion breaking dialogue lines and outright stupid stuff. But it looks like devs doesn't care - game sells was above their predictitions anyway.

I avoided the game for a long time due to my worries, but on a sale and looking at some reviews it seemed ok. So I got it. I should have watched the vids in more detail but didn`t want to give away the plot to myself. That 3rd person way of talking would`ve put me off... Feels like someone who doesn`t understand how to write wrote this.
