Hey.
Look for the config.lsx file, should be here:
\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\%PROFILENAME%\config.lsx

Open it with any text editor and search for "value="UIScaling"
You should see:
<attribute id="Value" value="1" type="6" />

Where "1" is the size of the UI.
"1" stands for 100% (default size).
Amend "1" with a lower value (0.75 for instance) if you would like to get a smaller UI.
Amend "1" with a higher value (1.05 for instance) if you'd rather like to get a larger UI.
Please notice that it's going to impact the whole UI, including text size, shortcuts, etc...

This is not perfect, but as there is no option in the menu so far, it's the best I could propose.
I would love to be able to get a bigger UI with mouse and keyboard, like the one you get with a controller.

It should work the same, in the keyboard UI. The controller UI does not get scaled by this setting.

I'm running into the same problem. Does not work for me. Ui looks horribly blurry on my 1440p setup :(
Do you have any other ideas how to make this work?

Did you check in-game? The main menu and character creation are not affected by the scaling setting; other than loading a save, or starting a new game, if you select Story in the main menu and then Load Campaign, the load window should be scaled. The following will make the UI much smaller:

<attribute id="MapKey" value="UIScaling" type="22" />
<attribute id="Type" value="2" type="5" />
<attribute id="Value" value="0.5" type="6" />

Have you tried different game resolutions?
Try switching to Windowed or Fake Fullscreen display mode, to see if that will make a difference.

Try right clicking the '..\Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\bin\EoCApp.exe' executable, select Properties, switch to the Compatibility tab and check off the 'Override high DPI scaling behavior' option (set it to Application), maybe run as administrator and disable fullscreen optimization, and set a Win 7 or 8 compatibility mode.

Try resetting your graphics driver's 3D settings to default (right click an open area of the desktop to start the nvidia Control Panel or AMD Radeon Settings), and check if there are any stretching/scaling options, anti-aliasing, etc, enabled which may be a factor.

Hi,

Is there perchance any way to do the GUI scaling when playing with controller?

I've tried the settings above with no luck. Playing the game in splitscreen is a great experience, though it feels a little cluttered with the oversized GUI scaling when it switches to console mode.

Kind regards

No, unfortunately the controller UI doesn't use the scaling setting (it was designed to maximise screen usage, while working split screen).
First and foremost: Hi everyone - and thank you to Raze for taking your time to help with our problems.

I also have problems with the UI scaling on the Enhanced edition. While the UI does not look toooo blurry on my 1440p setup (keyboard UI), it still takes up a lot of space and i would like to resize it.

Unfortunately, there is no "config.lsx" in my \Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\%PROFILENAME%\ folder. I've tried creating it myself and inserting the values you stated, however this does not seem to work. Also tried running as administrator, using windows 7 compatibility mode, switching to fake fullscreen, checking nvidia control panel (everything set to default) and looking for the "override high DPI scaling behaviour" (its strangly greyed out in my settings windows) - but nothing has worked so far.

Is there anything else I could try? Or did i do the setup of the "config.lsx" wrong? (Creating a .txt document, copy-pasting the values, saving it as config.lsx)

Just that section of the file wouldn't be recognised without the proper headers, etc. Go into the options and change the volume levels, or number of quick and auto saves to keep, etc, and the game should create the file (if everything is default, there is no need to save the values).

That did the job! Thank you very much :) Just quickly increased the musics volume (figured this was the best way to go thanks to the beautiful soundtrack) and the file appeared. But makes sense that just pasting the values inside a blank file was propably not enough.
