There's a person (whom I'll not name because it's not germane) who reports having trouble with saved-games loading and his game crashing upon reloads. OK, fine--it's a problem he himself is having individually. Well and good--he certainly should report it to discover if it's widespread and to see if someone has found a fix for it, etc.

But the thing I cannot understand is why he reacts like he does when people tell him they are *not* having his problem and make a few off-the-cuff suggestions of little things he might to do to help himself, etc.

He *immediately* goes ballistic and off the emotional charts whenever someone informs him that they aren't having the same problems! He actually--and this really I found would be amusing if it weren't so pitiful--states that *anyone* who says they aren't experiencing the exact same problems he is experiencing is either a liar, or else is being paid to lie about it (presumably by Larian, I suppose, or GOG, or Steam, although this person never says who it is who thinks is doing the pay-offs)...;)

My question is simple: what's *wrong* with such persons?...;) At what point do they simply cease all rational thought on the subject? What motivates them? Are they disgruntled employees of Larian? Mental patients from Briarcliff asylum? Forum cretins who get their jollies raining on other people's parades? Who? Who would make such ridiculous statements? Just curious for opinions on the phenomenon...!
To be fair, the pay is pretty good ;)
You should take the Pet Pal talent

You mean a copy of the game that works on your computer? Good pay, but the downside is you're down 45 bucks...

Ah, yes, good point!...;) I suppose talking with animals might be the only way to understand such strange folk...;)

lol no, I was being facetious about getting paid to lie about whatever issue the OP is talking about. Personally, I haven't read whichever posts he's talking about, just found it funny ;)

Also, to be fair, I bought "Book of Unwritten Tales 2" long ago, as I loved the 1st and it's spinoff, but it will not work on my computer no matter what I try - and I tried a LOT. I posted about it but never got any answer as it seemed no one else had the issue. So obviously, it's something with this computer (or people who had it also and figured it out just didn't reply). I figure I will try when this comp craps out and I get a new one, or I try it on my gf's eventually.

Also, I have 250 games in my library, and MANY of them looked good on their respective page, but I just couldn't get into them and likely will never play them (not that they are bad games, just not for me). So I am out far more than $45. But being an older gamer - starting with C64 - this is my favorite and only place for games, so I'm fine supporting them so it stays alive. Eventually (after this game and a few other new RPG's I recently purchased), I plan on looking into how this game trading thing I've heard of works to see if I can trade the those games and maybe get ones on my wishlist. If not, oh well.

AND, whoever is being referred to in the OP can get a refund if they are within the 14 day period (which I imagine they are). Unfortunately for me, with my backlog, I hadn't even tried the games I don't care for until long after that time frame.

So this person is not alone in having bought a game they cannot get to work on their pc.

Logic: If it's working for other's, the problem is your pc, not the game.
