So, is this a new story/game, or is this a revamp or different story arc of the original?

D:OS 2 is set about 1200 years after D:OS, so there aren't many direct story connections, though the lore is being expanded upon. The player characters are source users in D:OS 2, rather than source hunters.

Specifically, D:OS 2 is set 4 years after Beyond Divinity, so there are tie ins to the Divine Divinity / Beyond Divinity / Divinity 2 story arc (though in a different part of Rivellon). No knowledge of the previous games will be required, though there will be some references, etc, and recurring characters in the series may show up again.

Yes!... I loved Divine Divinity (and BD), and i must played it and completed it like 3 or 4 times. I'm an old fan so I hope there are many references and connections in D:OS 2.

Hoping to walk the Rivellon scenarios once more!!

Thanks for this games!

Bellegar shows up of course. I doubt Larian could make a game without a morally dubious trickster cameo even if they tried.
